Toggling Dark Mode on GNOME

Lately I’ve been experimenting with light mode / light color schemes in the terminal and text editor by day, and dark at night. Even with GNOME’s night light, I can’t really do light color themes in the evening.
While it’s not as simple as pressing the dark/light mode button on iOS, I’ve found the following just about works:
- Night Theme Switcher - this does most of the work, switching the shell to Adwaita Dark, and Thunderbird, Firefox, etc take their cues from that
- In Emacs, “space T n” toggles to my dark/light theme
- GNOME Terminal, set “Use colors from system theme”
- PHPStorm, press “control `” then switch to the light/dark theme
